Pastor

The role

The town of Bala seems to lie an hour away from everywhere in North Wales! We at Bala Evangelical Church are looking to call a pastor to shepherd us as well as equip us to reach out to the local community that is full with opportunities.

The church

We currently have 25 to 50 people attending our services, depending on the season, and we meet in the local community centre. Currently we hold weekly Sunday morning services and mid-week Bible study & prayer meetings, as well as having an evening Welsh service once a month. We also use the EMW Bryn y Groes Conference Centre for occasional meetings.

The region

The area attracts a lot of tourism with holidaymakers, bikers, families and those pursuing outdoor sports. There is a huge potential for gospel witness, not just within the rural (in particular, farming) community but also with the town and nearby villages. We regularly have visitors join us for worship.
