‘to equip the saints for the work of ministry’

Since 2018 I have been serving under the umbrella of AECW. Depending on the day of the week, the time and place God has providentially given several hats. As a minister, evangelist and Christian consultant, I regularly meet with pastors and churches throughout Wales, both within AECW and more widely, to understand the challenges of sharing the gospel. You can read more about my testimony, work history and ministry here.

In addition to preaching, (itinerating and at my home church Bethel Baptist, Bassaleg), prayer and pastoral care, the Lord is providing a varied project workload in partnership with churches:

Summary

A. Decision making helping churches move forward

This involves bringing people together. I speak as often as needed within elders’, deacons’, trustees’ and members’ meetings. If help is needed beyond a meeting, then I’ll work with the church to get that done too.

B. Helping men & women into/staying in local and global ministry (English, Welsh and Telugu)

I’m often contacted by churches looking for pastors or men & women looking for churches. Other areas can be how to train or how to finance a role and fund it.

C. Assisting churches that know they’re vulnerable to closing

From history churches go through cycles in numbers and able workers for reasons within and outside of their control. The norm is to implement a series of small steps that can make a significant difference towards viability. There are no guarantees but better to do something whilst praying that God would bless.

D. Encouraging churches to work together towards ‘independent equality’ (2 Cor 8, Mark 9:39)

Every church has resources, and every church can be a blessing to another. Every church has needs as well as some resource in abundance at a particular point in its life cycle. Are you willing to be a blessing to others?  There can also be a hesitation on this topic but should we treat others as we would like to be treated?

E. Facilitating regional collaboration

In a period where there is an apparent shortage of workers for the harvest then churches may feel they have to wait.  But is there are way forward by collaborating with others? Who are those others? This is already happening in several parts of Wales.

F. Use of resources including church buildings and church finance

Often an underutilised aspect of church is how we use our more static resources. Sometimes the smallest of changes, new notice boards (that actually get updated), aesthetics, improvements, paint etc. can add to the impression that a church is alive and open for gospel business! Sometimes the task may seem too daunting, and sometimes the bigger job of whole church renovation may serve the gospel even better.

G. Understanding and using biblical solutions for conflict and barriers to church growth

Sooner or later fatigue, conflict, unseen barriers can build up sometimes with and without warning signs.  Where do you go next?  How many people come to events but don’t come to church? Do we know what to do when we feel stuck?  There are always tried and tested biblical principles that must work if God has given them.

H. Speaking in and working alongside the Indian diaspora

This is a privilege to be invited to speak around the world to learn from and encourage the diversity that is there.  So far, I have been working within 4 continents and continue to develop links where I can offer similar support to Indians.

I. Something bespoke

As I travel and meet with churches it’s a privilege to pick up more and more data. Is there a point in which we as Christians can lead and initiate ideas and vision? There are some great strengths and resources here in Wales when gospel collaboration occurs. Job creation, ministry creation, and creating within the gaps are gospel opportunities. I’m very keen to discuss and consider the resources that are available to us. Nothing is lost through chatting about ideas and praying.

The ministry is bespoke support through biblical strategy advising, equipping and doing the work where there are gaps and challenges. We live in Crickhowell but I spend a significant time on the road.

In 2023 I joined UFM Worldwide to support me as Indian fellowships invite me to preach and to engage with the Indian diaspora in parts of the UK, USA and Asia.

More Information

In living by faith, I thank God for my network of supporters. Please pray that God will provide my needs through individual and church mission partners both in prayer and financially.

Financial support can be sent through UFM Worldwide and can be directed either through the UK office or USA office with tax deductible receipts. For other options, please contact me.

I’d love to hear from you

I’d also be very happy to come to you and share about this ministry OR if you have read something that is relevant to your church and you’d like to meet then I’d be glad to have an initial conversation – please contact me. But I pray that local churches are encouraged and equipped so that more people hear, see and experience the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ and are saved. And to ‘ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest-ready fields’.
